
Fanuc Red caps are EVERYWHERE and cheap and capable. It just seems you have these guys that can barely afford steppers playing with CNC, then you have owners that hire someone in to retrofit their machine and spend huge bucks. We can probably go buy another machine for that. if we want to consider real servos, real accuracy, and a serviceable and relatively intuitive control, what are the options? We have looked at Centroid that that's not happening.


But at the same time, we are not about to but China steppers on it with questionable Mach software. We are over it! We are loosely pondering the idea of recontrolling the machine BUT there is no way our budget will allow a turnkey system.

We have a 3 axis router that is mechanically sound but the control is proprietary, archaic, slow, and expensive to even look at.
